Will There Be Land of the Lustrous Season 2? (Updated in 2024)

Land of the Lustrous Season 2

Fans have long wondered if Land of the Lustrous will get a second season. While there’s no official confirmation yet, let’s explore the possibilities! What We Know So Far Land of the Lustrous, or Hōseki no Kuni, captivated audiences with its unique blend of action, drama, fantasy, and mystery. It’s based on the popular manga by Haruko Ichikawa. The story follows Phosphophyllite, the youngest and most fragile gem, who desperately wants to help fight the Lunarians, monstrous beings who seek to harvest the Gems for their beauty. However, Phos’s delicate nature leads to an unexpected assignment: compiling an encyclopedia of the Gems’ world. Right now, there’s only one season of the anime, leaving fans craving more. Since its 2017 premiere, a devoted fanbase has formed, hoping for a continuation of this captivating story.   Factors Affecting a Second Season Two key elements determine the likelihood of a new season: Source Material: The anime is based on a manga, and there are currently 12 volumes available. Thankfully, there’s enough content for potentially two more seasons. If you can’t wait for a potential Season 2, you can always dive into the manga from Volume 5 onwards! The manga delves deeper into the lore and character development, offering a rich experience for fans of the anime. Profitability: Land of the Lustrous did well in its first season, with strong Blu-ray sales and decent manga popularity. It’s also got a good amount of merchandise, including figurines, apparel, and even a Phos Diamond Dog pillow (yes, you read that right!). This success suggests the potential for a new season. The Waiting Game The main hurdle seems to be timing. Studio Orange has been busy with the wildly successful Beastars, putting Land of the Lustrous on the back burner for now. While not impossible, a second season might not be the most profitable venture for the studio. The hype has understandably cooled off after seven years. I’d estimate a 20% chance of Season 2 happening, but there’s still a glimmer of hope. The Future 2024 could be a decisive year for the series. We might get updates on Season 2, or Studio Orange could announce an entirely different project. It’s possible Netflix might even pick it up! In the meantime, show your support for this stunning and unique series by checking out the manga or exploring the cool merchandise. Land Of The Lustrous Season 2 Trailer Unfortunately, there’s no second season trailer yet. We’ll keep an eye on the official Twitter account and let you know if that changes! Anime Staff Anime Staff Position Staff Director Takahiko Kyougoku Series Composition, Script Toshiya Oono Character Design Asako Nishida Studio Orange   Final Thoughts There’s still a chance for Land of the Lustrous Season 2! We should know more in 2024, but realistically, it might not release until 2025 or 2026. Breaking Down the Wait The seven-year gap since the first season’s release is a major factor affecting the possibility of Season 2. While the Blu-ray sales were strong for 2017, the overall anime landscape has shifted dramatically. New shows constantly vie for viewers’ attention, making it an uphill battle for older series to recapture momentum. However, Land of the Lustrous still has a passionate fanbase who continue to discuss and share their love for the story online. This dedicated community could play a significant role in influencing a potential renewal. A Glimmer of Hope There are still reasons to be optimistic. The ongoing manga series means there’s plenty of source material for future seasons. Additionally, the show’s critical acclaim and unique visual style continue to attract new fans. With a bit of luck, positive reception and continued fan support could convince Studio Orange or another studio to revisit this captivating world.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3 Slims Its Way to spring 2024

Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3

Get ready for more slime-tastic adventures! Fans of “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” can rejoice – Season 3 officially slithers onto screens in spring 2024. The release date was announced on the official Slime Twitter account on February 22, 2023. What You Need to Know “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” is an anime series based on a popular light novel series of the same name. It’s a captivating blend of action, comedy, and the ever-popular isekai genre. The story follows Rimuru, a slime who’s anything but slow.  Rimuru isn’t your average goo monster – he’s a powerful leader who builds the nation of Tempest, a haven where all races can live together in harmony.  His ultimate goal? To become a Demon Lord, a powerful entity who can protect his people. Fans have already enjoyed two action-packed anime seasons and the movie “Slime: The Movie – Scarlet Bond.”  The animation team at Studio Eight Bit and director Yasuhito Kikuchi are returning for the third season.  This means we can expect the same top-notch quality and thrilling adventures that made Seasons 1 and 2 so addictive. When Can I Watch It? Mark your calendars! Season 3 of “That Time I Got Reincarnated As a Slime” officially arrives in Spring 2024. While we don’t have an exact date yet, April 2024 is the earliest we can expect it. Stay tuned for updates, and we’ll be sure to let you know as soon as the official release date is confirmed. The success of the recent movie, “Scarlet Bond,” is a positive sign for Season 3.  The movie’s impressive box office performance in Japan (grossing over ¥1.5 billion or US$11.4 million) demonstrates the series’ enduring popularity. This bodes well for the animation quality of Season 3 – we can expect the same level of amazing animation and thrilling action that made Season 2 an absolute blast. What Can We Expect in Season 3? Get ready for even more excitement! Season 3 will explore the aftermath of Rimuru’s victory over the demon lord Clayman. Clayman’s defeat has destabilized the Holy Empire of Lubelius, and one wrong move could trigger a full-scale war. How will Rimuru and his allies navigate this tense situation? Will they be able to find a peaceful resolution, or will they be forced to fight to defend Tempest? The anime series closely follows the light novel, and Season 3 will likely adapt volumes 7 to 9. With the light novel still ongoing, there’s plenty of source material for even more Slime adventures in future seasons. The light novel series is nearing its conclusion, but there are still 1 to 2 volumes left to be published. This means there’s a good chance we’ll see at least Seasons 4 and 5 to fully adapt the story.  Since the anime has only adapted less than a third of the light novel so far, and the series is incredibly popular, there’s a strong possibility of an even bigger anime adaptation in the future. Here’s hoping we get a full adaptation of the light novel! Can’t Wait? Here’s What To Do If you’re hungry for more Slime action, don’t despair! You can pick up the manga or light novel series in English and continue the story right where the anime left off. Start with volume 7 for the most seamless transition. The light novel series offers a deeper dive into the world and characters compared to the anime, so it’s a great way to experience the story in even greater detail.

Although a third season hasn’t been officially announced, the signs point towards “yes”!  The anime’s financial performance has been encouraging, especially with strong manga sales. This commercial success suggests there’s both demand and the means to bring more episodes to life. The ‘March Comes in Like a Lion’ anime has proven to be more than just a passion project. Season 2’s Blu-ray sales were respectable, exceeding 1,600 copies sold per volume. Recent manga volumes have consistently performed exceptionally well, with volume 17 selling over 450,000 copies.  Plus, the series’ popularity has led to a wide range of merchandise, further signaling its ongoing profitability. Will There Be a ‘Hundred’ Season 2? (Updated 2024)

Hundred-Season-2

Fans of the anime series “Hundred” have been eagerly expecting the announcement of a second season. Unfortunately, Season 2 has not been confirmed, and there is no set release date. What We Know About a Potential Sequel Several factors make a “Hundred” sequel less likely: A Single Season: The anime adaptation of Jun Misaki’s popular light novel series, “Hundred,” consisted of only one season. It aired in 2016, directed by Tomoki Kobayashi and animated by Production IMS. While the series has a dedicated fanbase, the studio’s closure in 2018 presents a significant challenge to reviving the anime. Financial Hurdles: Unfortunately, the “Hundred” anime adaptation didn’t achieve the financial success that often drives studios to greenlight a second season. This lack of profitability raises questions about securing resources or finding a new animation team to take on the project. Studios typically rely on strong sales of Blu-rays, merchandise, and other revenue streams to justify the production costs of additional seasons. In “Hundred’s” case, the average number of Blu-ray sales fell short of expectations, and the series only saw the release of a single figure. Even the light novel sales, which sometimes pick up after an anime adaptation, didn’t experience a significant boost, further dampening the prospects for a sequel. Exhausted Source Material: The original “Hundred” light novel series concluded in 2018, leaving no new stories to adapt for a potential sequel. This absence of fresh source material is a major obstacle for any possible continuation of the anime. Studios often prefer to have a clear path forward in terms of the narrative before committing to a new season. The Bottom Line While the chances of a “Hundred” Season 2 seem slim, there’s always a possibility for surprise developments in the world of anime. However, considering the financial realities, the studio’s closure, and the lack of new source material, the odds don’t favor the project right now. Fans who haven’t already might consider exploring the “Hundred” light novels, which continue the story beyond the anime. Hope for Fans If you’re still holding out for more of the “Hundred” world, the light novels offer plenty of unexplored stories starting from volume 5. They delve deeper into the characters and the world established in the anime, providing a satisfying continuation for fans of the series. Important Note: We’ll keep an eye out for any updates related to “Hundred.” While less likely, there’s always a chance!

Will There Be a Shield Hero Season 4? (Updated in 2024)

Shield Hero Season 4

Fans are looking forward to the fourth season of “Shield Hero”. While no official announcement has been made, let’s look into the strong likelihood of a new season and when it might premiere. Understanding “Shield Hero” “The Rising of the Shield Hero,” based on Aneko Yusagi’s successful light novel series, is a beloved dark fantasy isekai anime. The story centers on Naofumi Iwatani, the falsely accused Shield Hero, and his companions Raphtalia and Filo. Together, they embark on a perilous journey to defend their world from the menacing Waves of Calamity. Kinema Citrus studio has brought “Shield Hero” to life across three thrilling seasons, each entrusted to a different talented director. However, the studio and directors’ involvement in a potential season four remains unconfirmed. The anime’s debut season premiered in January 2019, followed by seasons two and three in April 2022 and October 2023, respectively. So, when can we expect season four? When Will “Shield Hero” Season 4 Premiere? Currently, there’s no official release date for “Shield Hero” season four. Kinema Citrus hasn’t confirmed if they’re actively working on it. Typically, anime renewals take two to three years to materialize. Based on this timeframe, we might receive news about season four sometime in 2025. Fortunately, with ample source material from the light novels, the studio doesn’t face any constraints in that regard. While Blu-ray sales haven’t been exceptional, other factors paint a more optimistic picture for season four. Strong merchandise sales, the light novel’s flourishing popularity in the West, and Crunchyroll’s financial backing all contribute to the likelihood of a new season. Reasons for Optimism for Season Four While there’s no official confirmation yet, several factors suggest that season four of “Shield Hero” is a distinct possibility. Firstly, the anime adaptation has consistently garnered positive reviews from fans and critics alike, praising its captivating story, well-developed characters, and unique premise. This strong reception indicates continued audience interest, a crucial factor for studios considering renewals. Secondly, the source material, Aneko Yusagi’s light novel series, extends far beyond the content covered in the anime’s three seasons. This provides ample material for the studio to adapt to a potential season four, eliminating any concerns about running out of source content. Furthermore, commercially, “Shield Hero” has proven to be a success beyond just anime viewership. The series boasts strong merchandise sales, indicating continued fan engagement and potential revenue streams for a new season. Additionally, the light novel series continues to enjoy significant popularity in Western markets, further bolstering the case for a season four. Finally, Crunchyroll, the streaming platform that has been the primary source for international audiences to watch “Shield Hero,” has a vested interest in the series’ continued success. The platform has financially supported the anime in the past, and its continued involvement could significantly influence the decision to produce a season four.

Tokyo Revengers Season 3 Ending Explained: Did Takemichi Save the Future?

Tokyo Revengers Season 33

Fans were left reeling by the abrupt ending of Tokyo Revengers season 3.  The Tenjiku Arc is finished, but right in the middle of Takemichi’s tense conversation with Kakucho about Kisaki, the episode cuts off, leaving the future’s fate a complete mystery. The Burning Question Viewers are desperate for answers – did Takemichi’s time-traveling crusade bear fruit? We know from past journeys that whenever he changed the past, he’d leap back to the future to see the results firsthand. But that didn’t happen here, leaving everyone hanging on a cliffhanger. Tokyo Revengers Season 3 Finale: Did Takemichi Save Hinata? The answer is a resounding YES! Takemichi stops Kisaki, and Hinata Tachibana lives!  The ending might’ve seemed rushed, but the anime stayed true to the manga, wrapping up right at the end of the Tenjiku Arc. The confirmation comes a bit later after the Bonten Arc gets underway.  Takemichi leaps forward in time to chapter 192 of the manga and finds himself at Pah-chin’s wedding, celebrating with a very much alive Hinata. This joyous scene serves as concrete proof that Takemichi’s mission in the Tenjiku Arc was a success – he saved Hinata. Why Did Takemichi Tremble After Kisaki’s Death? This part gets confusing.  You’d think Takemichi would be overjoyed to see Kisaki finally gone.  His entire mission in the Tenjiku Arc revolved around stopping Kisaki’s constant threats and manipulations. But instead of relief, the season 3 finale shows Takemichi visibly shaking, grappling with a complex mix of emotions. The Bonten Arc delves deeper into this.  Despite his intense dislike for Kisaki, Takemichi learns he is just another guy, with no special time-leaping powers or inherent superhuman abilities. He becomes grudgingly impressed by how far Kisaki managed to climb the criminal ladder with sheer cunning, ambition, and a ruthless streak. Even though Kisaki was physically weak, he clawed his way to the top of the criminal world through sheer force of will and manipulation. Takemichi, on the other hand, had the power of time travel and the unwavering support of his friends, yet achieving his goals often felt like an uphill battle. Seeing Kisaki’s unexpected and gruesome demise triggered a wave of unexpected emotions in Takemichi – a mix of relief, grudging respect, and a hint of sadness at the fleeting nature of human life, even for someone he considered an enemy. Plus, there’s the human element to consider. They knew each other, even if their relationship was far from amicable.  Witnessing Kisaki meet such a gruesome, unexpected end hit Takemichi hard on a personal level, adding another layer of complexity to his emotional response. One Problem Solved, Another Arises While saving Hinata was a huge win for Takemichi, it’s only a reprieve.  His friends tell him Mikey supposedly went overseas and found work in a normal restaurant. It turns out this is a lie, a carefully constructed facade.  Mikey spiraled into darkness, becoming the leader of the Bonten, Japan’s most powerful and brutal crime organization. This revelation throws a wrench into everything.  Takemichi can’t rest on his laurels, not when this new danger has emerged. He’s determined to stop Mikey’s fall from grace and travels back in time once more. His goal: is to delve into Mikey’s past and find the root of his corruption, setting the stage for the heart-wrenching Bonten Arc.

86 Season 3 Update for 2024 – Is a Third Season Coming?

86 Season 3

If you’re a fan of the 86 anime, you’re undoubtedly wondering about a potential third season. Right now, there’s no official word on whether Season 3 is happening. But that doesn’t mean all hope is lost! Let’s analyze the factors that could influence a Season 3 announcement, and when we might expect news. What is ’86’ About? ’86’ (also called  ‘Eiti Shikkusu’ in Japan) is a popular anime based on a light novel series by Asato Asato, with illustrations by Shirabii. It’s a fantastic mecha and sci-fi military series, and its popularity has fans clamoring for more. The story follows Vladilena ‘Lena’ Milizé, a young military officer in the Republic of San Magnolia. Lena fights for the rights of the oppressed Colorata minority. The anime currently has one season split into two parts. Since its debut, ’86’ has gained a massive following who are anticipating a potential Season 3 announcement. Will There Be an ’86’ Season 3? To understand the likelihood of a third season in 2023, we need to look at two factors: Source Material: Does the original light novel series have enough content to adapt? Financial Success: Did the first season generate enough profit to warrant a sequel? Source Material: Light Novels The ’86’ light novel series currently has 12 volumes, with more potentially on the way.  This means there’s plenty of source material for at least three more anime seasons.  If you want to find out what happens next, you can pick up the light novels starting from volume 4! Financial Success: Sales and Profit Anime sequels often depend on factors like Blu-ray sales, light novel sales, and merchandise revenue. While ’86’  didn’t have record-breaking Blu-ray sales, it did perform decently overall. Additionally, the series has impressive merchandise offerings and a growing fanbase. So, Will We Get a Season 3? As of June 2023, an official release date for Season 3 of ’86’ hasn’t been announced. However, there’s enough source material, and the series seems to have performed well financially. There’s a good chance we’ll get a new season, though it might not be until 2024 or later. Typically, new seasons of anime take around two to three years to produce. There’s no reason to worry yet – let’s be patient and watch for an official announcement in the coming months or years. 86 Season 3 Trailer There’s no trailer for Season 3 yet.  But if you want to revisit the amazing ’86’ soundtrack by Hiroyuki Sawano, check out the Season 1 trailer! Will There Be Blue Exorcist Season 3? (Updated in 2024)

Blue Exorcist Season 3

Fans have been waiting eagerly, but there’s still no official confirmation for Blue Exorcist Season 3. So, when will the next season be released? Let’s get started and explore the possibilities. Understanding Blue Exorcist Blue Exorcist is an action-packed anime filled with demons and supernatural thrills. Its central character, Rin Okumura, seems like your average teenager until demons ambush him. His entire world changes as he discovers he’s the son of Satan! So far, the Blue Exorcist anime has had an exciting run of 37 episodes over two seasons. Season 1 aired 25 episodes from April to October 2011, while fans had to wait until January to March 2017 for Season 2’s 12 episodes.  There’s also a 2012 movie and three OVAs. While season one had an original ending, the second season altered the events from episode 17 onwards. Naturally, all this has fans clamoring for Blue Exorcist Season 3. Let’s investigate! How Can We Tell If Blue Exorcist Season 3 Will Happen? To determine the likelihood of another season, we need to look at two crucial factors: the source material and the anime’s financial success. These tell us about the possibility of continuing the story and give us clues about a potential release date. The Blue Exorcist Manga Kazue Kato writes and illustrates the popular manga that forms the basis for the Blue Exorcist anime. As of February 2022, there are 27 published volumes, and the series remains ongoing. Kato recently returned from a hiatus, so fans can expect more manga goodness. Since each Blue Exorcist season covers roughly four manga volumes, we have enough source material for at least four more seasons! Fans eager to continue the story can dive into the manga from where Season 2 ended (around Volume 9). Blue Exorcist’s Profitability and Potential for Season 3 Here’s where things get a bit tricky.  Anime sequels are often driven by profit, and while Blue Exorcist Season 1 performed spectacularly, Season 2 experienced a significant drop in sales. This, combined with a long gap between seasons, has likely lowered enthusiasm for a direct continuation. Should I Give Up Hope Entirely? While a direct Season 3 seems unlikely, all is not lost! The Blue Exorcist universe has tremendous potential. Here’s why a  new season, even with a different focus, may still be possible: Continued Manga Success: The manga continues to sell well, proving there’s still a passionate audience. Merchandise and Fanbase: The existing merchandise and dedicated fanbase demonstrate an ongoing demand for more Blue Exorcist content. What Can You Do, As a Fan? Support the Manga: The best way to keep the Blue Exorcist dream alive is to buy and read the manga. Increased sales may encourage the studio to explore fresh ways to bring the story back to the screen. Explore the Merch: Show your love for the series by checking out the awesome figurines and other merchandise available. Stay Engaged: Keep the flame of hope alive in the online fan community. Your enthusiasm may just be the spark that inspires a new Blue Exorcist anime project!

Will There Be Rokka No Yuusha Season 2? (2024 Update)

Rokka No Yuusha Season 2

Fans have long been waiting, but unfortunately, a second season of Rokka No Yuusha remains officially unconfirmed. This leaves us with the lingering question: will a new season ever happen, and when? Let’s explore the reasons behind the delay and whether there’s any hope for the future. Understanding Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers This popular mystery-fantasy anime, originally titled Rokka no Yuusha,  boasts a dedicated global following.  It’s adapted from Ishio Yamagata’s successful light novel series (illustrated by Miyagi), which debuted in 2011. We follow Adlet Mayer, the self-proclaimed “Strongest Man in the World,” as he journeys to the Piena continent, eager to become one of the legendary Braves. Takeo Takahashi directed the first season, animated by Studio Passione. However, we still don’t know if they’ll return for a potential second season. Since its Japanese premiere in July 2015, fans have eagerly awaited “Rokka No Yuusha Season 2 Episode 1” or any form of continuation. Other Anticipated Anime Sequels While you wait, why not explore other highly anticipated sequels like Re: Zero Season 3, Noragami Season 3, Vinland Saga Season 2, or Demon Slayer Season 3? Is Rokka No Yuusha Season 2 a Possibility? Sadly, Rokka No Yuusha Season 2 seems a distant dream.  Had producers planned a second season, it likely would have happened already.  Over five years have passed, and interest has waned among fans, the author, and potentially the studio. The core reason lies in profitability. The first season’s Blu-ray sales were disappointingly low.  In 2015, the light novels also saw declining popularity, and Rokka merchandise performed poorly. Perhaps the biggest obstacle is the light novel’s indefinite hiatus since 2015. With only 6 volumes published and no sign of more, a second season lacks strong source material. Rokka No Yuusha Season 2 Release Date: The Harsh Truth Since Rokka No Yuusha Season 2 hasn’t been confirmed, canceled, or announced, there’s no release date or countdown. With poor sales and the light novel’s hiatus, the chances are bleak. It’s tempting to cling to hope, but in 2023, the likelihood of a second season feels near impossible.  The author’s silence on the series suggests a lack of creative drive. Still, if you’re longing for more of Rokka’s world, consider picking up the light novels from Volume 2, where the anime left off. Final Thoughts on Rokka No Yuusha Season 2 While Rokka No Yuusha Season 2 would be met with enthusiasm, realistically it’s unlikely.  This case highlights the harsh realities of the anime industry.
